Originally from Malaysia, I am now serving as a social science research assistant and a project specialist of an international humanitarian aid organization called the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, in San Dimas, California. I am also part of the NGO Youth Steering Committee of the UN Department of Global Communication. To richen my professional knowledge and skill in sustainable development, I am now pursuing Master Degree in Sustainable Development Management in Sunway University Malaysia. My passion is in building a safer and peaceful world for all beings while ensuring the sustainability of the mother earth. Since I was 15 years, I have started to engage with the issue related to peace, including humanitarian crisis ranging from manmade and natural disasters through community volunteerism in events like free clinic to the refugees, food distribution, disaster relief, and recycling. I believe that with the cultural values including moral, ethical, and religious teaching, we can find the solutions to coexist with the earth and all other beings. I am experienced in logistic, event planning, moderating, presentation, and media team for all sorts of practical events like cleanups, exhibition, workshops, among others. I am also experienced in building partnerships across multidisciplinary sectors including the United Nations agencies, medical professionals, colleges, NGOs, faith groups, and others. I have leadership and mentorship experience which I have led and mentored young people across the Asia-Pacific region to take part in becoming community youth leaders advocating for climate, environment, and peace building. I am an organized, punctual, creative, and responsible person who always make sure my engagement is quality and useful. I am also experienced in working with various young people across the globe on the environment, faith, and gender issues especially in the platform like UNEP, UNFCCC, UNDGC, CSW, Parliament of the World’s Religions, among others.
