“I come from one of the world’s most hostile places the valley of Kashmir a disputed land between three giant nuclear powers India, Pakistan & China. The dispute has taken several thousand lives, life is not as easy as any other part of world but the motivation of motherland before self has been there in me from a very young age. I was 17 years old when I started my activism, it began with a campaign to save Hangul the state animal which is an endangered species. I led a massive campaign for protecting the Hangul & its habitat, today the population of Hangul has increased by a large number. Other than Hangul I also worked for protecting the wetlands in my locality, these wetlands act as a safe home for millions of migratory birds every year.
In 2014 Kashmir valley was hit by one of the worst floods of the century several hundred people died and thousands got displaced I along my team worked in the rescue mission, reconstructing houses & providing other relief material to the flood affected people.
In the year 2015 I was awarded with Jammu & Kashmir Youth Icon Award.
In 2018 I participated in Asia Youth International Model United Nations Bangkok, Thailand. I was also a speaker at Future We Want Model United Nations New York 2019.
In 2020 I was a delegate at Global Peace Summit Malaysia. In the same year I completed my masters with Gold Medal in Public Administration & Policy Making. Currently I am pursuing my PhD research in Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations.
More over a series of Human rights, Youth & Women Empowerment programmes have been organised by me for betterment of the society. I was awarded with Kashmir Young Leadership Award for my leadership-spirit in 2021.”
