Swaibu Ibrahim

Uganda

Besides working as News correspondent for Deutshe Welle in Uganda, Swaibu Ibrahim is also the Communications Officer and co-founder of “Medical Muslims’ Integrated Rural Out-Reaches” (MMIROR-UG), a Community based Organization whose work centers basically about bettering the health and economic conditions of the countryside dwellers in Eastern Uganda. We hope to that by empowering these people in these aspects of life, we are building some peace for them, for “No one can feel at peace with a hungry stomach or an unhealthy body”
Presumably I am a member of the, “Alliance for Sustainable Health and Wealth in Africa” (ASHWA). Through this youth based Non-Governmental Organization, I have experience in among others organizing youth dialogues concerning diversity in various walks of life including race, religion and culture. In doing so, I have courage that we can restraint tensions bottle-necked to diversity.
I am enthusiastic about co-existence and pleased to share my experience as an Alumni of the first ever Continental Africa “Better Understanding For a better World” (BUBW) Conference, held in Kampala in March 2019 and organized by the Civilization Exchange and Cultural Foundation
I also attended as a delegate, the 2019 International Youth Camp for Voluntary and Humanitarian work in Doha Qatar.
Before joining Deutshe Well, Swaibu Ibrahim worked as an internee at BBC World Service and also as a correspondent for Radio Cairo International.
I was born on December 14th 1994 and accomplished my studies with a Bachelors’ degree in the Science of Mass Communication at the Islamic University in Uganda.
