Argentina

I was born in San Juan, a small state in Argentina. I was always interested in climate change and defend movements in which I believed. A funny anecdote is that when I was nine years I started a group of people (kids) who were compromised with climate change and we wrote “articles” and gave talks about the topic to teach other students about the importance of the “3R”.

In High School, I was the first delegate of the Humanities specialization. My role consisted of 1)being a bridge between the students and the head of school, 2)maintain the sense of belonging to the group and solve minor problems 3) give them advice about school, summer jobs, their professional future 4)organize scholarly events 5)being the representation of the school in social activities. That was an incredible experience, I have learned too much about myself and about being a leader. I also had a summer job experience in the parliament where I learned about politics, the economy, and law. I had a great tutor.

In other places, I had the pleasure of giving speeches in front of the alumni, at an inauguration, at the final of some events. I enjoy inspiring people.

In my free time, I love acting. I also read and write about technology, AI, Foreign Affairs, Ethics. I was part of pretty Models of United Nations (MUN) where I learn about international organizations, protocol, speeches, general knowledge. I think the best thing about MUNs is about learning to appreciate the differences between cultures and people, is about trying to understand others, but if you can’t it’s always about respecting them.

I also had the experience of being part of entrepreneurship boot camps where I made such a big team of friends in all Latinoamérica. We shared values and we tried to put our ideas into action, we are constantly speaking about social projects and we advise each other.

Then, due to my qualifications and merit, the Torcuato Di Tella University gave me a full funding scholarship so now I’m studying for a degree in economics (2nd year). I pretend to work as a consultant in the future maybe with an international political economy orientation. I’m part of the directive staff of the Torcuato Di Tella University magazine “La Curva”. I was senior editor last year, and now, in 2021, my role consists of being a bridge between institutions and academic organizations and La Curva. I also take care of marketing strategy. I’m part of the Political Club and Debate Club at University as well.

Now, I’m a volunteer of:
-Casa Cuna San Juan: there we take care of babies and kids that had to confront delicate situations in their houses so we have to give them love and care. We also organize events to get money for the foundation (to buy articles of clothing and food for the children) and visit the hospital as “payamédicos” that is like “clown doctors” and we try to give them the energy to confront the health problems they have.
-Cruz Roja filial San Juan (Red Cross): I’m specialized in first aids. We as volunteers sometimes are teachers, event organizers, or project assessors.
-CEDEMA: this is a multidisciplinary debate organization where I’m a researcher about technology, politics, ethics, economy, etc.

The last thing I do right now is research in a Corrientes observatory. We and some university colleagues want to expand general knowledge about democracy, law, and politics in young people. So what we are doing now is an investigation, but next month we will publish articles on the topic in local newspapers and talk on radio programs. Also, we pretend to visit Corrientes in august to give talks in High Schools if COVID-19 protocols give us permission (it’s almost what I did in my nines, but with university students!)

I hope it inspired you, I’m truly interested in help others and I believe we can do our best in Argentina. Cheers!
