Mrs. Olivia Shaw-Lovell is a resilient and committed servant leader who serves from the heart as a Social Development Consultant with 7 years of expertise in Non-profit Development & Project Management, Leadership & Community Development which stems from her experience in both government and non-profit organizations. Olivia is the Founder and Executive Director of Women of Destiny, Ja – an NGO that provides a haven, holistic empowerment, Mentorship and Advocacy for marginalized women in Jamaica and has been leading its operations since 2015.
Olivia holds a Graduate Certificate from George Mason University (USA) in Executive & Community Leadership which she earned as a US Department of State Community Solutions Fellow (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
She has received several awards for her dedication and involvement in Community Development and her Transformational Leadership, including The Jamaica Gleaner’s Distinguished Woman in Volunteerism (2018), Prime Minister’s Youth Award for Outstanding Service (2017), Cultural Ambassador as Jamaica UNESCO Youth Ambassador (2019-2022) and the Miss St James Festival Queen (2017).
Olivia believes that Small Changes Make a Big Impact and hence continues to inspire change through her service as the Western Hemisphere Representative on the Community Solutions Program Alumni Board and a member of the Commonwealth Youth Gender Equality Network (CYGEN) and Mt. Salem Community Development Committee.
Olivia is a multifaceted Jamaican who embraces her role as a wife, entrepreneur, published author and cosmetologist trainer and specialist.
