My name is Mohammad El Kadri, and I come from a low-class family. Growing up, my life changed dramatically when my father passed away when I was 15 years old. I had to take on the responsibility of providing for my mother and myself as the only child in the family. Despite this, I managed to achieve academic excellence and secure a 100% scholarship to attend the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, where I study Computer Science.
At AUB, I made the most out of my scholarship by participating in various workshops and community service projects, volunteering, and internships. I also took advantage of online courses through platforms like edX and Coursera to develop my personal and professional skills.
In addition to my studies, I was actively involved in extracurricular activities. I held the position of Secretary in the TEDxAUB club, where I was responsible for all the logistical procedures for organizing events and salons on a variety of topics including but not limited to Gender, conflict resolution and humanitarian aid. I also held the position of Director of Development and Logistics at the Beirut Model United Nations (BEYMUN), the largest MUN conference organized by university students in the Middle East. In this role, I built the website, secured approvals from different university offices, and managed the registration and proceedings on the day of the conference.
Overall, my background, academic achievements, and extracurricular involvement demonstrate my commitment to personal and professional development, as well as my passion for community service and social impact. I am eager to continue this work as a Global Peace Ambassador and contribute to the mission of Global Peace Chain in promoting peace, tolerance, and inclusivity around the world.
