I’m Ulfath Uwais, currently residing in the vibrant city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. My educational journey began at the prestigious Royal College, Colombo, and led me to complete my undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo in New York, USA.

In my professional life, I’m Managing Director of Ceylon City Hotel in Colombo, I am dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality experiences.

Sports have always been an integral part of my life. During my school years, I had the privilege of representing my high school in Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo, and I proudly captained the Diving team. Currently, my passion for sports extends to participating in Triathlons, completing multiple half marathons, and achieving the remarkable feat of finishing an Ironman 70.3 race.

Beyond the professional and athletic spheres, I am deeply committed to social work. I believe in making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need. Whether it’s providing assistance during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic or helping those displaced by floods in Sri Lanka, I have been actively involved in raising resources such as dry rations, gas cookers, and cylinders, and distributing them to those facing adversity.

My dedication to creating positive change extends globally. I’ve had the honor of representing the Sri Lankan delegation at various international forums, including COP 28 in Dubai 2023, the 2nd Eu-Indo Pacific Ministerial Forum in Stockholm 2023, and the 22nd and 23rd Meetings of the IORA Council of Ministers in Dhaka 2022 and Colombo 2023, respectively.

In all aspects of my life, I strive to bring about positive transformations, whether in the business world, the realm of sports, or through meaningful contributions to social causes. I look forward to continuing my journey of making a difference in the world around me.
