I am Lea, 24 years or and currently residing in Germany. At the moment, I am studying a Master program in European Politics and Society. Alongside my studies, I am on the board of two student-led think tanks, where I contribute to of amplifying the voices of young people to ensure sustainable development and help make their voices heard. I also jointly organize political simulations across Europe to enthuse more young people for democratic participation processes. As a volunteer project manager for Pandemic Professors, an NGO aiming to serve students affected by the pandemic, I contribute to working towards education equality. Moreover, I previously supported multiple organizations with fundraising as an UN online volunteer to facilitate their growth and advised them on how to nurture their partnerships. I have always been passionate about making an impact in my community and to ensure that all people have access to basic human rights. Next to food, a home and education this also includes a life in peace. Therefore, I have also been volunteering and advocating for peace and non-violent conflict resolution, for example in my role as a community volunteer for Amnesty International.
