I’m Joy Charis Baan and usually called Joy. I come from Indonesia to be precise in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province and also a Bachelor’s degree student majoring in Political Science, Hasanuddin University. This is my second year at the University.
I joined several organizations at the university, such as the Political Science Student Association, the Christian Student Association of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and, the Hasanuddin University Student Choir.
Once, we were members of the Political Science Student Association, and we did a Social and Political Development activity in Bantaeng, South Sulawesi. We held outreach about campaigns and elections to the surrounding community. In addition, we carry out environmental cleaning activities around the beach.
For activities outside the University, I am a member of Youth Ranger Indonesia, where this community is a place to develop the potential of young people in Indonesia. We hold many events, webinars and, mentoring classes to hone the interests and talents of young people. Then, I became a Volunteer on Social Connect. We are in the mental health sector. We always share posts on social media about social issues. In addition, I have participated in the International MUN Online Conference and at the same time became a Campus Ambassador at International MUN. As the Papua New Guinea Delegate at the Conference, I was on the UNESCO Committee where we discussed Ensuring Quality Education of Children. For my current position, I am the Promoter of Helpdia ID. As a Promoter, I share news about social, mental health and, environmental issues through my social media.
