“I am Jose Cordeiro, a 26yo software engineer from Lisbon, Portugal.

Despite being born and raised in Portugal, one of the safest countries in the world, I became aware of the problems that many people face everyday around the world by backpacking more than 60 countries. In the future, I hope to keep using my knowledge and skills to develop technological solutions to help improve society as we know, and solve problems that many communities are struggling with right now.

I currently have a BSc and a MSc in Computer Eng. and a MSc in Electrical Eng., by Lisbon University.
In July 2022 I expect to graduate with a BSc in Physics and a 3rd MSc in Statistics, whose master’s thesis is on Machine Learning in collaboration with Harvard University (Fulbright scholarship). I’m an experienced software developer with different work experiences, including CERN, and I also volunteer for NPOs and scientific projects as a full-stack developer.

In my opinion, given the fast technological growth in today’s world it is important to keep organisations updated and aware of the most recent technologies, to find better and more efficient solutions to societal problems. Which is aligned with my academic and professional background.

In the future I hope to further study more about economy and international law to better contribute to the world we live today.”
