Since I was a child, I wantes to become a super hero to make the wold a better place and leave no person behind. Growng up, I have realised that I don’t really need to have special powers to help others, I can still be a super hero. When I have started my middle school, I discovered the culture of clubs and decided to create my first envrionmental club, I have also joined other clubs and that was the begenning of my journey.
I became so aware of the injustice many people are living in our wrold, while I am Happy and my parents are providing me with wathever i need, there are people out there suffering and in a serious need. I haven’t done much the years I have spent in Middle School because there was no opportunities in the city where i was studying which is a small city in the East of Morocco,. In High school, I have managed to launch some campaigns reagrding certain issues such as pauverty, illieracy, Global warming. I have also participated in organizing a regional conference about conflicts and how can we acheive peace in Africa.
Once I started college, I have discoreved many opportunities, as My college was in the capital of Rabat, i had the chance to meet young change makers, ambassadors, activists.. who helped me being the person I am today, A young social activist that fight for humanity. I have joined an NGO “basmat Amal” as an actif member, 8 months later they voted for me to be the general secreatry. In summer, As i had to conduct a research about civic engagement, I had the opportunity again to meet young leaders and have meetings and debates with certain NGO’s. During this research, i have volunteered with an ngo for 2 months. During those two months, we have organized a scientific conference, we managed to convince 22 famillies to send their daughters to school and we have launched a new program dedicated to orphans so help them face their challenges. I have joined another NGO ” Association des jeunes du 21 éme siècle” and became the responsible for the communication with Moroccan Universities, The main project I have worked on with this NGO was a national debate between the youth and the regional and national leaders such as; ministers, heads of organizations, political representatives… the aim of this debate and dialogue was to encourage the young to be more implicated in the policial scene and to advocate for their communities.
I went to ankara in turkey for an exchange semester, during this semester I had the opportunity to volunteer with two NGO’s, The first one was helping te syrian and iraqian refugees, As i speack arabic and Eglish, i was facilitating communicationn between the ngo and those refugees; the second NGO was advocating for education, so I was giving free english classes.
Today, I am the founder and the head of an NGO ” l’association Marocaine des Jeunes Leaders”, it was founded in order to help achieve the 17 sdg’s, we are working on several projects such as “education 4 all” aiming to offer support to the young citizens who left school, the program will be offering them some workshops so they gain some skills, also we are working on a solidarity program to help the persons in need as the rate of pauverty in the east of Morocco is high. Also, I am member of Atlas for development NGO that works as well on sdg’s, the prject we are working on now is: 2063 academy, it is a 6 days of workshops and debates gathering about 800 young leader from Africa. The Participants will be given a grant of 250 dollars to help them initiate their project ideas.
I am currently the Ambassador of sustainable development program in my university, our goal is to make our university sustainable, so far, i have organized some workshops to teach about 187 student about the importance of the sustainable development, also now, we are working with other universities on the first edition of an international summit between unversity students to dicuss how can make our universities sustainable.
I have participated in many workshops about sdg’s, about climate change, i have also participated in 3 MUNs, 2 models of african union and a model of morrocan parliament. I had also a training course about the importance of peace with Erasmus+ , and I have received a badge. I am a second year master student, my major is Political Sciences, as I am required to prepare a thesis, i have chosen to work on the conflicts in Mali.
