Growing up in a family of six and not knowing what I would like to do in the future, one thing I have always been curious about from childhood was driving change in our society. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have been guided by all of my family members, which has helped me be who I am today, as well as to learn from their perspectives. Four years ago, my family moved to the United States. From being a volunteer tutor for disadvantaged children to blood donation ambassador for Red Cross to patient ambassador at local hospital, I have realized the importance of impacting people’s lives. Going to university for full time and maintaining a high GPA while working as a tutor and pharmacy technician not only gave me the ability to manage my time strongly but also communicating effectively with people in a critical situation. Being a SHPEP ambassador, I have tried to increase the participation of low-income students in summer internships. As an APIA ( Asian and Pacific Islander) and SHPEP (Summer Health Professions Education Program) scholar, I have been fortunate enough to meet with some amazing leaders that have shaped my life. I have also worked as a student partner at WileyPlus, an online platform used by most of the professors. Being a member of PTK international honor society and ODK honor society, I was able to meet with a bunch of successful fellow students where we are sharing our perspectives. In addition to that, I have participated in different summits as a delegate, as well as a panel speaker, which helped me share my perspectives with others. More importantly, I have done various model united nations as a delegate, chair, and ambassador. All of these experiences have shaped me into the person who I am today.
