Ever since young, I have had a great fascination for pharmacy. My childhood is filled with memories of being tortured by diseases, yet medication helps me relieve pain and I also want that for other disease sufferers. Alongside from studying at university, I have been always aware of updating and advancing my knowledge by taking additional courses from Harvard Medical School and also other medical schools on online learning flatforms.

Amid the pandemic, I managed to do research about ways of preventing or fixing the side-effects of this wave of pandemic in the summer of 2020 through a research entitled “Applying the Antibacterial Effect of Cellulose Acetate in Weaving Antibacterial Medical Face Mask” with the Head of Ton Duc Thang University’s Pharmacy Department. This research satisfied my yearning for action in the face of a great global health threat.

With pharmaceutical knowledge accummulated and experiences in different community projects and student associations, I now aim to initiate telecom technologies to connect medical personnels with patients, relieving stress on medical facilities in Vietnam. I would like to attend the Summit with a “purpose” of learning, improvising and improving my plan. I believe that only by understanding the purpose of what we do then would we have the willpower to carry it through to the end. While I approach social issues from pharmaceutical research and projects, others people from around the world might come up with different ideas from their diverged perspectives. I, thus, would learn from, connect with and coorperate with those who want to contribute to the UN’s SDGs while getting the preparation needed to turn my plans into action. I come fully aware that this summit is the opportunity I need to grasp, in order to widen my network and realize my plans for COVID-19 remedial solutions.
