I am graduated Law student that currently, living in Turkey in order to pursue my post-graduate education in International Relations field. That is my pleasure to mention that I got accepted to Turkey Scholarship simultaneously.
While in high school, having introduced to the fact that rules and laws are both serving the purpose of reinforcing morals and preventing social chaos really fueled my desire to study law, hence I enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Law in 2017. My first-year studies provided me with a firm foundation in key legal areas like sources of law and legal systems. My later year studies introduced me to Commercial law, Public and Private international law, Criminal law, Transnational crime law, ensuring that I receive I fully-rounded law education. These studies not only extended my understanding of the legal system, but also enabled me to make a well-thought-out decision as to which area I wish to involve in at a graduate level after graduation. Moreover, I have completed my bachelor degree with honors, 95.8 GPA out of 100.
Apart from academics, I held the position of Director for Law Review at European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Azerbaijan from September of 2018 until July of 2020. This has been an absolute eye-opening experience, mostly because over two years of period I had a unique opportunity to meet legal professionals and to participate in programs aimed at boosting my knowledge in specific areas of the law. When assigned to that role, my vision was to establish an atmosphere of comradery where academic pressure usually gives way to true intellectual stimulation. I must admit that my leadership abilities were tested on a regular basis, as my job was to maintain positive relationships with the members and other departments through accountability and credibility. I believe that my strong decisiveness and problem-solving skills also helped me perform exceptionally in my role. Sometimes I had to make decisions quickly with the information I had and resolve obstacles with my team, which in return, allowed me to move projects along faster and increase efficiency. What else made me stand out was my people management skills and ability to delegate, that I managed to give my team members responsibility along with a taste of leadership themselves, helping them to remain motivated when the work gets tough.
Additionally, I had an opportunity to take part in several internship programmes in Azerbaijan, namely The Supreme Court of Republic of Azerbaijan, The Constitutional Court of Republic of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, I am working for LAWELS legal blog as an editor.
Furthermore, I have participated in an amazing event – Global Peace Summit 2021 Turkey. Having being the part of this family, enabled me to broaden my horizon and share my opinion with young leaders who came together from all around the world.
