I am Randa Foudili . I am 24 years old and a master student ( English Civilization and Literarture). As an Algerian girl who have been looking for a way to make some peace on my own I did a lot of volunteering work because I find satisfaction in helping others. I am a part of a university club called ‘Aurora’ where we do lot of activities and workshops to involve students in civic engagement. Public speaking, debate trainings and charitable activities are the main goals of this club.
In 2019, I I enrolled in the program of Young Mediterrean Voice as a debater, and it was such a great and a benefecial experience for me. I learned a lot from it, it was an opportunity for me to make my voice heard and to develop a bench of skills. Actually, this what led to imporve myself and I got training to be a trainer in this program because this latter seeks to empower the culture of dialogue and debate. I delivered online trainings in different cities in Algeria. In fact,, I believe that promoting this in my community is an essencial thing for us all to spread peace, take our society to the next level and to limite any sort of descriminations by enhancing the culture of dialogue.
Also, I am a member of an environmental initiative called ‘ GreenAlgia ‘ whose main focus is raising awarerness about the importance of protecting our environment as well as motivating youth to preserve a healthy and a clean environment and we did many cleaning campaings as an attempt to acheive this purpose which is one the sustainable developmet goals. In addition, I participated with this initiative in the Hult Prize Competition.
