Pakistan

My name is Fatima Bilal Ahmed and I am a 17-year-old student currently enrolled in A levels in Pakturk Maarif Asifa Irfan Girls Campus, Lahore. As far as my academic achievements go I managed to score 10A*s and 1A in my O Levels topping my batch. I am a person who does not limit herself to exploring and achieving in only one field, which is why apart from a distinctive performance in my academics, I aim to educate myself in aspects aside from the prescribed curriculum and enhance my exposure through experiencing and approaching the challenges that come my way in the best possible manner. In order to gain this experience, I am always keen on looking for internships, enrolling in foreign summer schools, participating in fairs with agendas of benefiting society, etc. Exploring these activities I came across MUN which grasped my interest thus I participated in MUN as a director. I also participated in Teknofest in the categories of technology for humanities and environment held in Turkey. With a growing desire for the society and environment seeking benefit from my project, I made it to the final round where I was able to pitch my project to large-scale businesses helping them to produce products with greater positive externalities. Furthermore, I attended a two-week summer school in Istanbul, Medipol university which stimulated self-reliance and developed a curiosity in me wanting to explore this world further. The interactive environment between the attendees made the experience immensely wholesome and I came home with numerous long-lasting friendships. Following this trip, I started to indulge in volunteer work to contribute my part to my society. The promotion of literacy in Pakistan has, and will always be one of my top priorities; which is why the internship at WWF felt uplifting because I was given the honor to teach the young bright minds of our country along with the 30 hours of community service I engaged myself in. Along with this, I led a meat distribution campaign in my school partnered with the Rizq foundation to raise funds to create a hunger-free country, Pakistan.
