I have successfully attained an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Coventry University, UK. My academic underpinning is enriched by extensive clinical training spanning two years across state hospitals and community organisations. I am presently a practising clinical psychologist and a clinical psychology lecturer for a degree programme awarded by the University of London.
Beyond the academic sphere, my dedication to societal well-being is evident in my diverse volunteering experiences, collaborating with esteemed organisations such as the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka, LEADS, and the Asia Foundation. These experiences have not only deepened my comprehension of the human condition but have also ignited my advocacy for social justice and human rights.
In my quest to become a Global Peace Ambassador, my journey intertwines academic rigour, clinical expertise, and a profound commitment to social advocacy. Through active participation in global mental health symposiums, the promotion of mental health, and valuable research contributions, my ambition is to foster a more empathetic, culturally sensitive, and interconnected global community.
