Dr. Sujeewa Polgampala works as an educator possesses a Doctor of Philosophy in Education specialized in Higher education from Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China, She has Masters in Science Education from the University of Peradeniya and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education with a merit pass and TESL from the University of Colombo. She took the initiative in organizing several International Conferences and presented research papers in the Indian Ocean Comparative Education Society 2nd Conference 2012 Thailand, One Belt & One Road Higher Education Conference 2016-2019 Beijing, China. She was awarded Excellent International Volunteer 2016 and 2017. She was privileged enough to be the University Official Representative for International Students in China. She has published 14 research papers in high-indexed journals. Currently, works as a National Team Member for the STEM Education steering committee and the research coordinator at Siyane National College of Education. No doubt, she is highly skilled and results and proven as a strong troubleshooter, results-oriented and self-driven professional with exceptional communication and leadership skills. 2016 Excellent Volunteer Award 2016-Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China.2017 Excellent Volunteer Award 2017-Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China and the University Official Representative for International students during 2015-2018. She is currently working as an active member of the steering committee of STEM Education 2030 in Sri Lanka.
