BIOGRAPHY

ARTIST BANSIMBA KILUSUAMINA KYLOUS
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the city of Kinshasa on 19 August 1979.
Son of Kabingi Augustin and Wumba Cesarine, at 5 years old, he was drawing on the ground and his mother bought him a big paper and promised him if he continues drawing he will have enrolled at the institute of fine arts to start an artistic career
He graduated from the institute of fine arts in Kinshasa and in 1999-2000 He will continue his higher education still at the academy of fine arts in Kinshasa He then embarks on the supervision of idle children at the NGO Yalisthio where he becomes a drawing teacher, during this period he sells and exhibits sculptures and paintings at the O’poeta restaurant.
Son of a fitter and tradesman; He inherits from his father the rigor, the sense of duty and a free spirit is an artist who adapts to all kinds of supports, stone, bronze, wood, iron …
he opens sculpture workshops in his father’s plot where he began his career
He knew how to get away from his craft influences to forge a specifically modern art highlighting a Congolese art purely inspired by his maternal culture and his mother who was his first supervisor.
From 2000 to 2002 he took part in the contest of a company of the place ORGAMAN in Kinshasa and wins the second prize, while being students of the finalist he participated in the realization modeling of the hands at the mausoleum of the deceased president Laurent Kabila
In 2003, he presents his first collective exhibition of the wood series, in a showroom organized by the French cultural center
In 2006: he made an order from the Sisters of novitiate of Bas Congo the bust of Sister ROSANE.
IN 2006: bust exhibition of Dr. Kabakele, sickle cell center, Kinshasa
EN2007: First exhibition of November, exhibition of the embassy of France and the bank
International Central Africa. French cultural center Kinshasa where he will be selected among the best Congolese artists any category
In 2009 he responds to an order of the eleven sculptures in a site in his father’s native province
That same year, he made an order from the Catholic priests to make a loincloth at St. Maria Goretti Church
In 2013, at the request of a large sculpture in imitation stone, he created the OGEFREM transport company
Then in 2015 he exhibited for three consecutive years at the exhibition of the European Union in the residence of the Embassy of Italy
The artist made a lot of trips to Bolivia and he will do the South American tour
In 2016, he responds to a commendation of the Republic of Angola the two-and-a-half-meter bronze sculpture of the Archbishop of Luanda
He made many funerary monuments of his country and elsewhere including that of a singer Marie MISAMU and others
He participated in many exhibitions in Europe and around the world.
