What about student life? In the first year, I was selected for the Enactus Kazguu organization. Enactus is an international non-profit organization that unites students, academic and business leaders who use their capabilities to improve the lives of people and the environment. Every year at the national cup, teams of Enactus present and share their projects (results and achievements) that have a social, environmental, innovative and commercial orientation. The team that received the 1st place goes to the World Cup and present our country’s projects on the world stage. So, our team became a two-time champion of the country where one of the brightest projects presentations was project “”Aral Sea””. It was included in the First National Voluntary Report of Kazakhstan on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which was announced at the UN headquarters in July 2019. Within the framework of the Aral Tenizi project, our team cleaned 180 m2 of the Aral Sea bottom from used and abandoned plastic fishing. In addition to these projects, we have various achievements and projects that have helped people with disabilities (it’s more correct to say with special needs), given a second life to materials that are not recycled (plastic, banners, etc.). Since 2013, we have implemented 17 successful projects that have changed the lives of hundreds of residents of our country. We have involved many partners in our projects (the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, UNDP, ERI, Elaman, Pro Bono and etc.). And all this activity in the organization during student life opened my eyes and realized how important joint efforts are to improve the quality and standards of life.”
