Vanessa Mavila is a dedicated activist for environmental preservation, gender equality, and the construction of sustainable cities, and a fervent advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the President of the Eboko Foundation, she is one of the Congolese women in the French diaspora actively involved in environmental protection amid climate change challenges. Her flagship project, “Eco Akwa Eboko Village” in Eboko, near Makoua in the Cuvette department, aims to combat youth unemployment in rural areas while preserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable city development.

As the Country Chair for G100 Climate Action, Vanessa plays a pivotal role in advancing climate initiatives. Through her organization, she coordinates marches, workshops, and other events to promote peace, raise public awareness, and encourage engagement in environmental preservation.

Vanessa Mavila also serves as the Country Director for the Global Peace Chain, where she is dedicated to promoting global peace. She is actively involved in advocating for women’s rights and combating gender-based violence. Having personally experienced war and conflict zones, she deeply understands the challenges faced by women in these situations. She leads the project “Beyond Tears and Pain: Reconstruction,” supporting women who have experienced violence in their healing journey through art therapy workshops. She also works with indigenous Aka women and advocates for gender equality.

In addition to her environmental and peace efforts, Vanessa Mavila is the President of the Eboko Foundation, the Youth of Eboko for the SDGs, and the African Women’s Union for Peace (UFAP). She is also a member of the Sustainable Territory Commission at the South of Aisne Development Council.

Her vision focused on sustainability and the environment guides her actions, and she aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
