Ms. Tasmiah Nuhiya Ahmed is an Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court. She is practicing law in High Court of Bangladesh. She did her LL.B. (Hons) from University of London, United Kingdom. She started her career as an Associate at FM Associates, Bangladesh back in 2011 and she is now working with FM Associates as its Junior Partner.  She also worked with Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) as Research Officer of its Law wing from the year 2015-2019. Currently beside her law practice, she runs South Asia’s first daily only women led English newspaper, Daily Our Time as its Editor-in-Charge. She is the host of a talk show, Amader Bangladesh.

She is regular columnist in most of the English national dailies of Bangladesh and she is regular contributor to a number of International media outlets including South Asia Monitor.

She has published research papers on law and human rights issues in a number of national and international journals. Her most recent research work has been published in ITA in Review, a journal by Center for American and International Law.
