Sky George is 17-years old and was born and raised in the Commonwealth of Dominica. She currently lives in the village of Castle Bruce, a community located on the eastern part of the island. Miss George attended the Castle Bruce Primary School, where she was an honor roll student and a member of the Girl Guides Association, 4-H Environmental Club and the school’s choir. Miss George was elected Student Body President and graduated from Castle Bruce Primary School in 2014. She then furthered her education at the Castle Bruce Secondary School, she was chosen by her school counsellor and certified psychologists as a “youth counsellor.”
Miss George is an active member of her church, Our Lady of Health parish, where she is currently an altar-server, member of the parish council, financier and advisor. She initially never identified her talents, but they were reflected in the way she completed her assignments, spoke and carried herself at school. Her teachers consider her to be a very strong writer and excellent speaker. She was nominated to compete in the Dominica National Youth Parliament in 2018, where she was chosen as “Winner of the National Youth Parliament 2018” and “Best Speaker on the Government’s Side.” Miss George public speaking skills pulsated throughout the Caribbean region, where she travelled to over six different countries to spread and promote awareness on various social issues.
Advancing through a series of titles, Miss George became a advocate for youth and gender equality for women, she is currently the youngest advocate in the Caribbean Region. Miss George currently attends the Dominica State College pursuing a degree in Psychology. She is mostly recognized for her contributions in public speaking and writing. Miss George aspires to become a future lawyer and Legislator.
