My name is Rebeca and I am studying Political Science in the 2nd year at National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, in Romania, Bucharest. Aside from college academics, I have also become involved in various extracurricular activities. I have been focused on different social issues in our community, always willing to support fund raising activities for the benefit of poor people. Moreover, I have been vocal about the discrimination, prejudice and stereotypes present in our town. Furthermore, I have always considered important to help others trying, thus, to make the community I live in and, why not, the entire world a better place. Four years ago I joined some organizations which had more power in this saving battle, such as “Hands of Hope. I have also begun to work as a volunteer for international foundations, thus enriching my interest in this area. Two years ago I got involved in a competition regarding discrimination and I was chosen to be the leader of my team. We did a great work together and we had the occasion to present our project nationally, as we won the first place. I am deeply concerned about what other people have to go through in other parts of the Globe. I feel that all people need to be treated with dignity and equality. We all have the right to access basic needs such as food, water and shelter. These rights protect us from violence and abuse and work towards the end of ignorance and hatred. No matter what country we live in, who our parents are or what religion we practice, human rights are essential. My heart’s biggest desire is to see rhe world at peace and to male out of it a full time commitment. My biggest dream is to save children from all around the world, protecting them from war, hunger or other rough conditions of life.
