Nicolle Ma’s various healthcare, clinical research and entrepreneurial endeavors have fueled her desire to improve healthcare treatment and delivery while also combating health disparities at home and abroad. Her work in healthcare and clinical research involved patients with depression, schizophrenia, breast cancer and gastrointestinal conditions and diseases. Her entrepreneurial journey began when she participated in her first hackathon with a preventative healthcare idea and won the Lady Problems Hackathon Vodafone Americas Foundation sponsor prize. She is currently the CEO and founder of Compassionlit which treats underserved jaundiced newborns. Compassionlit’s work was recognized by the Big Bang! Health Sector Award and Global Poverty Alleviation Award. As a Global Peace Ambassador, she seeks to advocate for peace and the right to healthcare which are intricately connected and fundamentally important to improve the human condition.
