I am a student at La Trobe University in Melbourne, in my final year studying a Bachelor of International Relations. I have focused my studies in the Asian region, which is highly contentious and I believe that Australia can play a prominent role in bringing our peace and collective dialogue amongst states. I am a firm believer in the role multilateral institutions can play in facilitating peace and global collaboration.
I am an Australian Delegate at the Global Peace Summit in Malaysia 2020, where I can collaborate with other like-minded youth, aimed at creating lasting change.
I am a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, aimed at servicing the community and empowering others.
I have worked with environmental not-for-profits on campaign strategy during election time, implementing face-to-face campaign delivery. I have also published articles on Australia’s place in Asia, arguing for Australia to become a republic in order to improve relations with Southeast Asian neighbours.
I am the Liaison Coordinator for the International Association of Political Science Students. My work will help the association grow and extend into the Oceania region, not only encompassing Australia, but also New Zealand and other states in the South Pacific.
I am the creator of an online secretariat, aimed at linking youth with their favourite not-for-profits, so that they may have a tangible impact on the world around them.
Finally, I am in training to become an Officer in the Australian Army, aiming to use my leadership and skills for humanitarian assistance and diplomatic safeguarding that the Australian Defence Force so often undertakes domestically and in the Pacific region.
A theme of all work that I do is to ensure that others are empowered to have an impact. I firmly believe that youth are the present, not just the future; that together we are stronger than we are alone; and that people need to be the change they want to see.
