Gulkhanim Mammadova is a researcher with a focus on peacebuilding and conflict transformation in South Caucasus in a Baku-based think-tank, Topchubashov Center. She has a BA in Political Sciences from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2015 – 2019) and an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Social Sciences University of Ankara (2019 – 2021). For her studies, she received Azerbaijan Government and Turkey Scholarships respectively. She has participated in several training courses and conferences dedicated to peacebuilding and dialogue, such as “Youth-led Community Peacebuilding” Erasmus + project, “Baku Conflict School” organized by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, “Advancing Young Scholars, and Peacebuilders Careers” organized by the Open Corridors, “Change Makers Forum” organized by EU4Dialogue. 


Along with professional background, Gulkhanim has project management, event organizing, and volunteering experience in different local and international events and organizations. For instance, from 2018 to 2019 she was the Local Committee Vice-President in AIESEC in Azerbaijan. In 2019 she had an internship with the governmental body – Executive Power of Nasimi District (Baku). In addition, from 2016 to 2019 she worked in Formula 1 Baku Grand Prix, Islamic Solidarity Games, EXPO exhibitions, and other events.
