Gulkaiyr Taiirbekova is an enthusiastic and highly motivated positive changemaker. Currently, she is a senior student of International and Comparative Politics department at American University of Central Asia (AUCA). She strongly believes that investment to human capital development is the best option. Therefore, she was part of student-organized Youth Empowerment Project in December 2017 and visited with 3 days-workshops on “Career Exploration and Skills Development” in Kadamjay (Batken), Osh, Chon-Alai, Dzhalal-Abad. On international level, she participated in International Student week in Ilmenau 2017, Germany titled “Is global peace is a fairytale?”. In addition, she participated in International Summer School on “Conflicts and Challenges in Central Asia from a Regional and Transregional Perspective” in Almaty, Kazakhstan in partnership with Philips University in Marburg ,and AUCA. She is an alumni of ProKG Leadership Program 2018. She also participated in a Portfolio Theory and Practice Module offered by the American University of Central Asia in partnership with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). She was part of big ethnographic research workshop named “Why Leave? The Motives of ‘Non-Repatriation’ of Ethnic Germans and Russians from Kyrgyzstan” organized by the German Academic Exchange service (DAAD) Bishkek together with the AUCA. Internship in a research project “Machine Wars: Traffic Rules Violation” supported by fellowship program coordinators from Soros Foundation and AUCA, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Due to her interest in youth investment she was a curator in international organization for human development “SAMO” during Master-class for children “The Way of the Child to Financial independence” in Issyk-Kul. These are some but not least actions that show her eagerness for peace development not only locally but also globally.
