Pingdwendé Aimée Djiguimdé was born and grown up at Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. She graduated in in information and communication science and technology: optional journalism and management of institutional communication. Since 2015, when her country experienced political unrest followed by terrorist attacks, she was particularly interested in the security situation in her country and the sub-region, which motivated her to train and to be certified in “Multi-Dimensional Peace Operation” and also in “maritime security and transnational organized crime” at the Kofi Annan Peacekeeping Centre (KAIPTC) in Ghana. In order for humans to live in dignity and for their basic needs to be met, it is imperative to promote actions to rekindle hope among vulnerable populations, this has led us to create as actors of civil society, an association for the promotion of peace, the promotion of social cohesion, values linked to peace of mutual aid and solidarity. Thus in the process she became president of the said association called “Association Peace For All” since 2019. His challenges led her to be chosen to participate in the Young Leadership Initiative (YALI) in March 2019 for the 14th session at Dakar in Senegal. It was from there that she was able to re-frame these ideas for these projects in peace and security. She believe that active solidarity and collective action can be an effective step towards a more peaceful world.
