I am Catherine Namuchimba, a fourth year student at the University of Zambia pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Public Administration. I am an open-minded and confident good communicator who is intrinsically motivated to deliver excellent results. I am a United Nations volunteer, a role whose objective is premised on ensuring that the welfare of the people are prioritised by achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
I am also a public relations practitioner for Sunrise Public Relations Agency. The agency is composed of youths who share a vision to make it the best marketing agency in Zambia. I also worked as a public relations intern at the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA). My role involved ensuring that the clients receive the correct information through the writing of press release, organising press conference and workshops. Furthermore, I have once worked as a public relations coordinator for Youth Empowerment Zambia (YEZ) which aims at promoting and encouraging youths talents in the community. This role involved gatherings and meetings educating youths in categories based on their talents and abilities. We aimed at building a talented and skilled community with leadership qualities. Therefore, I am very skilled at effectively dealing with people.
Lastly, I am a former radio presenter at the University of Zambia radio station (UNZA RADIO). This show aimed at teaching Christian values through various topics and programmes. I enjoyed working in this role as I did not only facilitate the teaching of Christian values but also, inter-faith harmony and tolerance for divergent religious views.
