Ahlam Ahmed is a lecturer and an academic and educational supervisor at Sana’a University Faculty of Education since 2011. She is an Education in an Emergency expert, an Education Specialist, and a strong education professional with a Bachelor of Education focused on Education and an MA of Simultaneous Interpreting from Sana’a University. She is a global youth ambassador for education in Yemen at (Theirworld) 2017, a member of the Global Business Coalition for education, Youth Council serves on the Youth Advisory Council of the Youth Skills and Innovation Initiative (YSII), launched at the United Nations General Assembly (2017) by the Global Business Coalition for Education and Intel Corporation (Intel) A Finalist for The Queen’s Young Leader Award (2018), She is the Education Watch manager, education program manager at NGO, a Humanitarian projects manager and a member of the National and sub-national Education Cluster in Yemen.
She is an Education Activist who strongly believes in education as a power to change the world and uses it as a tool to change lives and spreads peace in her country. Her Motto is “support education for peace and sustainable development”. she has been working on SDG4 & SDG5 (education & gender equality) to make a change in her country, she has embarked as a local leader, engaging in philanthropic works, leading three initiatives enabling access to education for underprivileged children, supporting and empowering the most vulnerable women, a literacy volunteer teacher has worked in her village since 1997 and raising awareness of girls’ empowerment through education.
She was awarded a certificate of the outstanding GYA (Global Youth Ambassador) for 2017. She was awarded the certificate as an advocator and a champion of education under challenging circumstances, addressing difficult issues, as a dedicated GYA working in Yemen to improve access to education. In addition to being a university teacher and founder of multiple initiatives to support education in Yemen. She was awarded by the prime minister of Yemen as the education advocator in Yemen.
She is skilled in Humanitarian works, Research, Grant writing and management, Strategic Planning, Reporting, Coordination, Teaching, and Higher Education faculty of Education. Furthermore, certified as a grant writing and management trainer by Portal365 company which is specialized in grant writing and management and Certified as a Professional Trainer (CPT) by the British Board.
