National Peace Summit Mauritius

On the International Peace Day, Global Peace Chain Mauritius has successfully organised a
national peace summit with over 150 participants at Domaine de la nature – Asso Villa – Belle
Mare.
This Summit was included with Panel talks for men & women, peace & security,
Our Peace Ambassador Youg Bundhoo & Dilsha Mottee embarked in Global Peace Chain
in December 2019-CD Mauritius.
For the International Day of Peace, Global Peace Chain organized it's first national Peace
Summit in a peaceful venue, Domaine de la nature in Belle mere with 220 peace advocates,
stakeholders, policy makers, students and Youth of Mauritius. The objective of the Summit
was to collect ideas, views & recommendations from all stakeholders to draft a white paper
Which will be shared to showcase Mauritius as a case study and a country where peace and
unity prevails in diversity. Global Peace Chain Mauritius has been initiated in December
2018 and has already touched more than 50,000 people directly across the island through
peace talks and art for peace projects, with up to now 23 Global Peace Ambassadors.
